FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When can I join?
Registrations are accepted year-round.  Your official commitment will begin at the first meeting after registration is received.

How long does my registration/commitment go for?
Once registered, you are committed for a year.  You can withdraw afterwards by sending an email to 100kidsdufferin@gmail.com

I don't quite understand - do we just register and show up to the meeting?
Yes!  Amazing people are almost always very busy people.  So, this is a simple and quick way to make a huge difference in our community.

What if I can't attend the meeting?
You can submit your $10 and vote by proxy (filling the information out ahead of time to be included in the vote at the meeting) - to be dropped off before the meeting or sent with someone who is attending the meeting.  More information about the process is coming soon.

What if I am a day late getting my nomination form in?
It will be held for consideration for the next meeting.

What time should I arrive at the meeting?
We open the doors 30 minutes before the meeting.  You must check-in and at that time you will receive your ballot for that meeting's vote.  The meeting starts at 5:00PM sharp and we finish by 6:00PM.

Can a parent attend with a child?
Yes!  We encourage it as a teaching moment.  We just ask that you make a note on registration that a parent will be attending so we know how much space we need.

What if I want to donate to the charities that didn't win the majority vote?

This is always a great question!  We'll have an answer for you soon.
